BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. Iran’s non-oil exports to Iraq through the Parvizkhan customs of the Kermanshah Province (western Iran), increased by 21 percent in value and 37 percent in volume, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Director General of the Parvizkhan Customs Office, Ghasem Motallebi said, Trend reports.
The director general added that overall, 655,000 tons of non-oil products worth $257 million were exported to Iraq through the Parvizkhan customs in 3 months.
According to him, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, ceramics, and construction materials were the main goods exported to Iraq via the mentioned customs.
As for the value of Iran’s total foreign trade via Parvizkhan customs for the reporting period, Motallebi noted that the figure stood at $1.05 billion. Trade turnover includes product export, import, and transit.
Meanwhile, Iran exported approximately 16.9 million tons of non-oil products worth $6.49 billion to Iraq through its land border customs for the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023). The share of the customs of Kermanshah Province in Iran's export of non-oil products to Iraq was 6.77 million tons worth $2.67 billion.
In total, Iran exported 21 million tons of non-oil products worth $7.51 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023).
This is an increase of 12.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 13.7 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
