BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 26. Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Trend reports.

According to the data of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran's non-oil exports for 3 months decreased by 8.84 percent in value, while increasing by 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.

Within 3 months, the main part of Iran's non-oil export was made up of petrochemical products. Global prices of some export products, such as petrochemical products, have fallen. This resulted in a 16 percent increase in the volume of Iran's petrochemical export, and an 18 percent decrease in its value.

During the mentioned period, Iran exported non-oil products worth $3.5 billion to China, $2.3 billion to Iraq, $1.7 billion to Türkiye, $1.3 billion to the UAE and $489 million to India.

Iran's non-oil exports exclude only crude oil, bitumen, and white oil. Due to sanctions imposed by the US and Western countries, Iran cannot freely export the mentioned products. That’s why it attaches importance to the export of non-oil products.
