BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. The non-oil exports from Iran’s Semnan Province in the north of the country increased by 40 percent in value and 30 percent in volume during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, head of the Semnan Province Customs Office Morteza Hajiannejad said, Trend reports.
“In total, 60,900 tons of non-oil products worth $27.1 million were exported from the Semnan Province in 3 months,” he said.
According to Hajiannejad, the exported products were mainly air conditioners, detergents, washing machines, rubber, aluminum, etc.
The official also pointed out that the mentioned goods were exported to 30 countries, including Kuwait, Uzbekistan, and India.
Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.
This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value, while an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
