Iran unveils details of non-oil exports via Khuzestan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29. In total, 6.57 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $1.74 billion were exported through the customs of Iran’s Khuzestan Province, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), Customs Inspector of Khuzestan Province Behrouz Gharabeigi said, Trend reports.

The official noted that the province’s non-oil exports for the reporting period decreased by 31 percent in value, while increasing by 25 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.

Gharabeigi said that petrochemical products, agricultural products, steel, construction materials and etc. were the main goods exported via the province’s customs in 4 months.

According to him, the mentioned goods were mainly exported to the UAE, Iraq, China, Türkiye, Russia, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.

This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value, while an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
