BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 30. More than 2 million tons of non-oil products worth $264 million were exported to Iraq through the customs of Iran’s Khuzestan Province, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), Customs Inspector of Khuzestan Province Behrouz Gharabeigi said, Trend reports.
The customs official noted that Iran’s non-oil exports to Iraq through the province’s customs for the reporting period decreased by 25 percent in value, while increasing by 25 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
Gharabeigi added that the exported goods were mainly construction materials, cement, foodstuff, vegetables, milk and dairy products, household appliances and etc.
In total, 6.57 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $1.74 billion were exported through the customs of Iran’s Khuzestan Province within the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023).
This is a decrease of 31 percent in value, while an increase of 25 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
