BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 6. Circa 529,000 tons of non-oil products worth $316 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s Markazi Province, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), Director General of Markazi Province Customs Office Alireza Sadeghi said, Trend reports.
According to him, the non-oil exports via the province’s customs for the reporting period increased by 8 percent in value compared to the same period in the last year.
Sadeghi noted that various hydrocarbons, polyethylene, glassware, fruit juice, liquefied gas, chemicals, iron and steel ingots, etc. were the main exported goods.
The director general also added that the mentioned non-oil products were mainly exported to 68 countries, mainly Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq.
Overall, Iran exported about 45.8 million tons of non-oil products worth $15.9 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year.
This is a decrease of 7.97 percent in value, while an increase of 28.6 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
