BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. The Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park produced products worth 1.3 billion manat ($764.7 million) in the first half of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the data of Azerbaijan's Economic Zones Development Agency, the number of exports amounted to 446.3 million manat ($262.5 million).
The share of the park in the non-oil sector of Azerbaijan amounted to 15.2 percent, and in the export of non-oil products to 19.6 percent in the specified period.
In total, residents sold products worth more than 8.67 billion manat ($5.1 billion), and the volume of exports amounted to more than 3.12 billion manat ($1.8 billion).
The production of Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park's residents is exported to the markets of 60 countries, including Türkiye, Japan, the USA, Canada, Italy, China, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Taiwan, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Finland, the Netherlands, Macedonia, Lithuania, Austria, Estonia, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Egypt, the UAE, Lebanon, Iraq and other countries.
