BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. In total, 9,120 tons of goods worth $67.2 million were imported to Iran’s Kermanshah Province in the west of the country during the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), an official of the Kermanshah Province Customs Office Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh said, Trend reports.
Abbaszadeh also mentioned that the province’s imports for the reporting period increased by 10 percent in value while decreasing by 4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
The official added that imported goods mainly consisted of various types of equipment, spare parts, raw materials, and catalysts.
There are 2 border checkpoints and 5 border markets in Kermanshah Province, Iran.
Overall, Iran imported 17.6 million tons of goods worth $30.4 billion in the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023). This is an increase of 11.6 percent in value and 6.89 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
