BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. The lead concentrate production of Iran’s Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex in the Isfahan Province (central Iran), increased by 15 percent, during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports.
As was reflected in the data of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), the complex produced a total of 5,382 tons of lead concentrate in 5 months. The figure stood at 4,672 tons in the same period last year.
The complex also increased its production by 31 percent compared to the 5-month production plan (4,100 tons).
In addition, 180,533 tons of minerals were extracted from the mining complex within 5 months, which is 66 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year (108,847 tons).
During 5 months, 5,632 tons of lead concentrate were sent from the complex to related companies, which is 56 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year (3,604 tons).
Reportedly, the Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex has reserves of 1 million tons of lead. The figure is expected to reach 3 million tons by mid-2023.
