BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. The iron ore pellet production of Iran’s Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company increased by 130,000 tons in the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, an official of the company Abdollah Kamali said, Trend reports.
During 6 months, the company produced approximately 1.96 million tons of iron ore pellets, Kamali added.
Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), the company produced 3.8 million tons of iron ore pellets, the official also pointed out.
According to him, the company's annual iron ore pellet production capacity is 4 million tons.
Kamali noted that the Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company intends to increase iron ore production to the maximum level in the current year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024).
Iran’s Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company in the Yazd Province (central Iran), was founded in 1992. The company has the capacity to produce 10.5 million tons of iron ore concentrate, 1.2 million tons of iron ore pellets, 1.3 million tons of steel, and so on per year.
