Non-oil export from Iran’s Kermanshah Province rises in value and volume

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 29. Non-oil exports from Iran’s western province of Kermanshah rose by 12 percent in value and 10 percent in volume during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023), compared to the same period last year, an official of the Kermanshah Province Customs Office Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh said, Trend reports.

According to him, the province exported around $1.98 billion worth of non-oil products, weighing approximately 4.88 million tons in 8 months.

The official added that the main export items from the province were construction materials, such as fittings and ceramics; agricultural products, such as fruits and vegetables; milk and dairy products; and rubber products, among others.

There are 2 border checkpoints and 5 border markets in Kermanshah Province, Iran. The province’s goods are mainly exported to Iraq and other neighboring countries.

Iran’s overall non-oil exports reached $32 billion in value and 90 million tons in volume in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023). Compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, the value of non-oil exports increased by 1.6 percent, and the volume grew by 27 percent.
