BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 10. Iran’s non-oil export to Turkmenistan increased by 0.8 percent in value, and 0.3 percent in volume during the first 8 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023) year-on-year, Trend reports.

In 8 months, Iran exported 899,000 tons of non-oil products worth over $296 million to Turkmenistan, as was reflected in the data from Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

Meanwhile, in the same period of the previous Iranian year, Iran’s non-oil exports to Turkmenistan stood at 896,000 tons of goods worth approximately $294 million.

The main export items were agricultural and food products, industrial products, transformers, water conditioners, petrochemical products, etc.

Over the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2023), Iran's non-oil export to Turkmenistan was 129,000 tons worth $45 million.

In total, Iran’s non-oil exports reached $32.2 billion in value and more than 90 million tons in volume in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023).

Compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, the value of non-oil exports decreased by 1.6 percent, while the volume increased by 27 percent.

Iran’s non-oil exports do not include crude oil, mazut, and white oil, which are subject to US sanctions that prevent Iran from exporting them freely. Therefore, Iran has been focusing on increasing its non-oil exports to cope with the economic pressure.
