Iran unveils details of 8-month import to Razavi Khorasan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 10. Iran’s Razavi Khorasan Province imported $443 million worth of goods, weighting 146,000 tons in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), Supervisor of Razavi Khorasan Province Customs Office Javad Jafari said, Trend reports.

The customs official noted that the province’s import increased by 4.71 percent in value, while decreasing by 22 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.

Jafari added that the main imported goods consisted of mobile phones, cotton, raw materials, etc.

He noted the mentioned goods were mainly imported from the UAE, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and others.

Jafari also said that the revenues of province's customs stood at 12.6 trillion rials (about $300 million) in 8 months, which is an increase of 14 percent compared to the same period in the last year.

The total imports of Iran in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023) were 24.7 million tons worth $42.2 billion, which represents an increase of 12.3 percent in value and 4.32 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
