BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. Iran exported nearly 1.02 million tons of non-oil products, worth roughly $336 million to Turkmenistan in the first 9 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023), Trend reports.
As stated in the data from Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the export stood at 1.03 million tons, worth $350 million in the first 9 months and 10 days of the preceding Iranian year.
As reported, the IRICA has published the statistics of 9 months and 10 days of last year instead of 9 months.
The main export items were agricultural and food products, industrial products, transformers, water conditioners, petrochemical products, etc.
During the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2023), Iran's non-oil export to Turkmenistan was around 119,000 tons, worth about $39.7 million.
Iran’s efforts to boost its non-oil exports amid the US sanctions that limit its oil sales. Iran’s non-oil exports include all products except crude oil, mazut, and white oil.
The latest data from Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) shows that Iran exported about 102 million tons of non-oil products worth $36.4 billion in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023). This represents a 0.68 percent drop in value but a 26.5 percent rise in volume compared to the same period last year.
