BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. The non-oil trade between Iran and Uzbekistan rose by 13 percent in value and 29.8 percent in volume in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
As was reflected in the data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the two countries traded nearly 467,000 tons of goods valued at over $371 million in this period.
In the same period of the previous Iranian year, the non-oil trade between Iran and Uzbekistan was around 360,000 tons, worth over $328 million.
During the 10th month alone (December 22, 2023 through January 20, 2024), the two countries’ non-oil trade was around 52,000 tons, valued at about $44.8 million.
The main trade items were milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, pipes of various kinds, cotton, beans, silk, and more.
Overall, Iran's non-oil trade with the rest of the world was $94.8 billion in the first 10 months of this year, equivalent to approximately 146 million tons of commodities.
