BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 19. Iran’s non-oil trade through southwestern province of Khuzestan reached 30.5 million tons valued at around $12.7 billion in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), Customs Inspector of Khuzestan Province Behrouz Gharabeigi said, Trend reports.
Gharabeigi stated that Iran exported more than 16 million tons of non-oil goods through Khuzestan Province, worth $4.62 billion, in this period.
He also said that Iran imported more than 14 million tons of goods through Khuzestan Province, worth $8.06 billion, during the mentioned period. Of these, 11.6 million tons were essential goods, worth $6.23 billion.
The official added that the provincial customs revenue was 152 trillion rials (about $3.62 billion) in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year, which was 43 percent higher than the previous year.
Overall, Iran's non-oil trade with the rest of the world was $94.8 billion in the first 10 months of this year, equivalent to approximately 146 million tons of commodities.
