Details of non-oil exports from Iran’s Khuzestan Province revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 28. Khuzestan Province in Iran’s southwest exported 17 million tons of non-oil products valued at $5.54 billion in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through February 19, 2024), Customs Inspector of Khuzestan Province Behrouz Gharabeigi said, Trend reports.

Gharabeigi said that Khuzestan Province is the second-highest exporter of non-oil products mid Iran’s provinces.

He also said that the province aims to export $6 billion worth of non-oil products by the end of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 to March 19, 2024).

The official added that the provincial customs revenue reached 164 trillion rials (about $3.9 billion) in 11 months.

Iran’s efforts to boost its non-oil exports amid the US sanctions that limit its oil sales. Iran’s non-oil exports include all products except crude oil, mazut, and white oil.

Based on the latest data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran’s total non-oil exports for 10 months were 113 million tons worth $40.5 billion, representing an 11 percent decline in value and a 9.4 percent growth in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
