BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. Iran's non-oil exports to Tajikistan increased by 54 percent in value and 40.4 percent in weight during the 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through February 19, 2024) compared to the same period last year, the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
According to the statistics, Iran exported about 289,000 tons of non-oil products worth $230 million to Tajikistan during the past 11 months.
However, during the same period last year, Iran's non-oil exports to Tajikistan amounted to 206,000 tons worth $149 million.
The statistics add that Iran mainly exported petrochemical products, metallurgical products, agricultural and food products, etc. to Tajikistan during the mentioned period.
The information states that in the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2024), 26,400 tons of non-oil products worth about $20 million were exported from Iran to Tajikistan.
To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, the country's exports of non-oil products during the 11th month amounted to about 125 million tons worth about $44.9 billion. Iran's exports of non-oil products decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 11.4 percent in weight terms.
