BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. The development of crop and livestock farming is among the priorities of the economies of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, and the parties have agreed to support each other in these areas of the agricultural sphere, Trend reports.
According to information, it is stated in the Protocol on the Results of the Sixth Session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, signed in Baku on July 1.
"The parties agreed to exchange information on the transfer of new technologies in agriculture, namely in cattle breeding, viticulture, and winemaking," the protocol notes.
The sides also agreed to exchange information in the field of research activities on fisheries and aquaculture development.
"Research institutes in Azerbaijan and Bulgaria should establish cooperation on fishery issues. The Institute of Fishery Resources of Varna, the Institute of Zoology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and the Faculty of Biology of Sofia University may participate in such cooperation on the Bulgarian side," the Protocol noted.
