The Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan activates its work with the export agencies of the states, members of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for increasing its rating by the OECD version. Preparations for the road shows throughout the OECD 3-5 states for changing their approach to the country’s rating commenced, deputy Minister of Economic Development Mikail Djabrailov told Trend.
"The terms of the visit are currently being coordinated. Within the road shows consultations with the agencies of Germany, Italy and France, which be one of the main trade partners of Azerbaijan among the states of this organization are held. The goal is to initiate the issue on the increase of the Azerbaijan’s rating at OECD to be considered at the next meeting of the OECD Agencies Council”, Djabbarov noted.
Azerbaijan has the rating of the VI stage by the OECD version. The country claims on increase of its rating minimum to the IV stage.
Accessibility of the external financing for the country and the private sector depends on the size of the OECD rating. It is rather low so far. Azerbaijan has been carrying work on revising the acting assessments for three years.
