5TH ANNIVERSARY OF CREDITAGRO HELD IN BAKU

The 5th anniversary of CreditArgo nonbank credit organization was held on Wednesday in Baku, Trend reports.

The organization was established in 2000 to distribute credits in the Azerbaijani agriculture sector. It functions at the expense of the financial support of the USAID.

The CreditAgro opened representative offices in 20 regions of the country and allotted $17m credit to 3 600 entrepreneurs.

“Credit portfolio exceeds $4.3m, while number of clients comprises 1060, but volume of credits makes up $4,000,” Eldar Jafarov, the Director of the CreditAgro, underlined.

The attending were Farhad Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development, Sattar Safarov, the chairman of the Standing Commission on Economic Policy, Rino Harnish, Jim Hogin, the Director of the USAID on Azerbaijan, Frederick Smit, the Vice-President of the international ACD/VOCA organization.
