Azerbaijan for the first time participates in a meeting of the Union of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Eurochambers), which started in Stavanger, Norway, on Friday, Mehman Ahmadov, the vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told Trend.
According to Ahmadov, since entrance to the organization in May 2005 Azerbaijan has for the first time gained an opportunity to participate in the gathering of Eurochambers with a right of vote.
At present Turkey is a chairman-in office of the organization and it is headed by Rifat Khisarchikliogli, the President of the Union of Trade and Industry of this country.
The current meeting of the presidium centered on further cooperation among the Chambers of Commerce Industries of the member-states of the organization, integration into the European business world.
