The Azerbaijani delegation participated in the international conference on development of audit in the CIS countries. The delegation of the Azerbaijani Auditor Chamber led by chairman Vahid Novruzov participated in the conference on integration into business accounting and audit of European Union: new functions and opportunities, held in Vilnius, Trend reports.
The Chamber noted that Novruzov made a speech on audit in Azerbaijan and informed the participants of the event about the current state of the auditor activities in the country and reforms carried out in the sphere.
Besides, the delegation took some materials concerning the conference, where 150 representatives from 10 countries participated to get familiar with experience of Litva, the CIS countries and Eastern Europe.
The Chamber said that they plan to carry out research on issues discussed at the conference and continue the measures within the signed protocol.
The intention protocol on cooperation between Auditor Chambers of Azerbaijan and Lithuania was signed in Baku on 19 July. It was signed by Novruzov and Gennadiy Makushev, the President of the Lithuanian Auditor Chamber. Similar documents were signed with Turkey in April 2005 and Kazakhstan in August 2005.
