Azeri tea-growers study experience of Sri Lanka

Local tea-growers delegation will pay an working visit to capital city Sri Lanka, Colombo, in the first half-year of 2006. The visit will ve carried out within the project on development of tea sector, implemented in the country by the German Technical Cooperation Agency (Р­РўР-). The 10-member delegation will pay the visit lasting from 7 to10 days, the Baku presentative office of Р­РўР- told Trend.

The delegation will include representatives of the governmental bodies, farmers engaged in tea-growing and owners of the tea factories. They will get familiar with tea production and picking in Sri Lanka, as well as attend several tea factories. The exact date of the visit will be determined in January 2006.

It should be mentioned that earlier the visit is planned to be paid in November 2005, but the visit was delayed in relation with tea picking in the country.
