According to the draft of the new Regulation of the Tariff Council the institutions’ status may be increased. The draft of the new Regulation has been already developed and submitted
to the Azerbaijan’s President executive office for consideration, the Cabinet of Ministers told Trend.
"The draft envisions preserving the Tariff Council (TC) under the Ministry of Economic Development (MED), establishing Secretariat under TC and increasing of the organizations’ status. Despite preserving TC under MED, according to the new draft Regulation officials of other ministries and departments will be also involved. The Secretariat will consist of experts, representing local structures, which will carry out analyses of cost price of services and goods, which tariffs are regulated by TC and make their proposals to TC. As for the status increase, according to the draft Regulation, the TC decisions will be valid without their approval by the Cabinet of Ministers”, the CM noted.
