New cement plant to appear in Azerbaijan

The construction of a new cement plant has been set up in the territory of former Shamot brick plant in Sumgayit. The Director of the Leasing Operations Department of Uni Lizinq company told Trend the company finances the purchase of equipment on lease for the set up of production in the area of desolated territory of the brick factory.

Production capacity of the plant will be 16 tons per hour. It is considered as mini-plant, while strategically it is set to cover the future demand of the economically developing offshore zone of Sumgayit. In the first stage $250,000 will be directed at the production of cement and the same funds will be approved for production of clinker.

The equipment under project implemented by the local companies Turan and Cheshma will be supplied from Ukraine and Russia. A relevant agreement has been achieved with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, as well as other bodies.

The project will enable to open additional job places, as 30 people will work in every shift to handle the uninterrupted technologies of cement production.
