“On 21 December AZAL State Air Lines Company opens new Baku-Nizhniy Novgorod- Baku flight between Azerbaijan and Russia,” Ramin Mammadov, the chief of the division of the Company, told Trend.
According to Mammadov, the flight from Baku is planned at 12.00am [local time]. “The way from Baku to Nizhniy Novgorod will take 2.40 hours. The plane takes off from Nizhniy Novgorod at 15:30, while arrives in Baku at 19:20pm,” he stressed. The flight will be carried out by Airbus-319 made by the International Airbus Industries Concern. AZAL acquired 3 similar planes.
The contract on purchase of 4 planes was signed by heads of Azal and AIRBUS Company in Berlin in August 2004. The contract costs $170m.
