2 billion AZM assigned from the state budget of Azerbaijan for developing new bridges construction projects within the solution of problems in Baku city caused by traffic jams which arise in some streets and avenues, the Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov told Trend.
According to him, the projects are currently at their final stage. Preparatory works are underway on Azadlig avenue and the Azizbekov circle. В"Tender will be announced after accomplishment of the project elaborating”, he said.
The Cabinet of Ministers is currently developing the action plan on traffic jams removal. The document will be submitted to the country’s president executive office shortly.
Construction of roads, allotment of parking places for buses and taxis, construction of bridges are envisioned in the document, which has been elaborated at the instructions of the president.
