CIS Council of heads of customs services to meet in Moscow

Next meeting of the heads of CIS member-states will be held in Moscow on 19 January 2005, the CIS Executive Committee told Trend.

The agenda of the meeting includes around 20 issues, covering the cooperation of the customs administrations of CIS member-states. The key topic of consultations is �Interaction of CIS member-countries in regulation of customs procedures’. Participants in the gathering will consider issues on expansion of relationships among the CIS countries in the resolution of acute issues, interaction in fighting drug and weapons trafficking via the customs places, as well as establishment of normative base for 2005-2009.

Kemaladdin Heydarov, the chairman of the State Customs Committee, will represent Azerbaijan in the gathering.
