In accordance with preliminary data, during 2005 the total amount of insurance premium, collected by insurance companies functioning in the country, comprised 81m AZN, Baybala Khankishiyev, the head of State Insurance Supervision Division of the Finance Ministry, told Trend. In 2005 insurance premium growth was 22.3% as compared 2004.
In 2005 optional premium growth collected by insurance companies comprised 23% or 75.3m AZN as compared in 2004, required premium growth - 13.3% and 5.61m AZN.
In 2005 insurance payment growth was 23.7% or 18.24m AZN against 14.74m AZN in 2004. The growth was provided at expense of optional kinds of insurance, payments on which made up 30.3% more or 16.33m AZN as compared 2004. Payments on required kinds of insurance reduced by 13.5% and comprised 1.91m AZN.
