Azerbaijan participates in meeting of CIS & Baltic railwaymen

The 43rd meeting of the Council of CIS and Baltic railway transport has started in Tallinn on Tuesday. The Azerbaijani delegation is led by Alirza Suleymanov, the deputy head of the Azerbaijani State Railway Department (ASRD), ASRD told Trend.

The agenda envisages discussion of issues of interstate railway communication for 2006-2007, the state of the instruction on maintenance of perishable cargo transportation in the international communication, tariff policy of railway departments for cargo transportation in the international communication, results of mutual settlement between railway administrations in 2005 and some other issues. The schedule of the Council of CIS and Baltic railway transport also includes bilateral meetings of the heads of CIS railway administrations on the issues unified by the sides.

Attending the event will be the members of the Council, heads of the railway administrations of the CIS countries, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland.
