The draft law on freedom of gatherings should be based on the world practice, Civil Unity party chairman, MP, Sabir Hajiyev told Trend.
State powers should be used to prevent illegal rallies, he noted. Rallies are held in all countries. But we have to use the legislative experience of other countries in order to prevent illegal rallies. In this regard Azerbaijan should not be different from them, he said.
It is necessary to note that the given draft has been previously criticized i.e. its part considering use of special methods in dispersing rallies (rubber bullets, bars, dogs, electro shocks, tear gas and etc.). it was decided to revise this question later.
