Banks rise long-term crediting of economy

1395, 1m AZM of credits were invested in Azerbaijani economy by April 1, 2006, according to National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) data. The given figure grew on 3, 2% in March and on 29, 9% in comparison to April 2005, NBA told Trend . The total weight of expired credits is 4, 78% (66, 7m AZM), excluding credit debts of the non-banking credit organization Agrarcredit.

56, 7% are short-term credits (791, 3m AZM), 6, 11% (48, 3m AZM) are problem credits. The total amount of short-term credits fell on 0, 7% in March, however, during the year it grew on 8, 9%. Summary amounts of

the long-term credits is 603, 8m AZM (43, 3%) - 18, 4m AZM (3, 04%) of them are expired credits. The long-term crediting grew on 8, 8% in March and on 74% in comparison to the first quarter of last year.

643, 1m AZM (46, 1%) was invested into economy by state banks, 703, 7m AZM (3, 46%) by private banks, 48, 3m AZM (3, 46%) by non-bank credit organizations. Participation of foreign capital in crediting remained at 271, 1m AZM, with the total weight in the credit investments 19, 43%. 27, 7m AZM has been credited by the banks with 100% of foreign capital in founding capital.
