Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to conduct business-forum

By the end of the year Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will arrange a business forum. Azeri deputy minister for economic development Mikail Jabbarov told Trend that the business forum in Baku will enable the companies present their goods and promote them on the markets of the two countries.

At the IV session of Azeri-Kazakh intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation held April 29 in Baku, the participants spoke of new efforts for expansion of the list of supplied goods, development of relationships in small and middle-size business, etc.

Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Economic development of Azerbaijan were assigned to draw the program of vegetable production supply to western Kazakhstan. first vice-premier of Azeri government Abbas Abbasov said trade and economic relationships between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have a big potential.

In 2005 goods circulation amounted $112.5mln or 45.7% from that of 2004. Kazakhstan mainly exports natural gas and black metallurgy products. Azerbaijan, in turn, exports petrochemical products (gasoline and lubricants), etc.
