250 of 750 applicants has been registered as VAT payers, informs Trend Zaur Fati-zadeh, the head of operational Records management and Economical Analysis Department of the Ministry of Taxes.
Most of the applicants are new enterprises, whose activity meets all seven parameters to be registered as a VAT payer, he said.
At present the frequency of annulling certificates for operating as a VAT payer is declining. In 2006 more than 4 thousand entities were deprived from their certificates allowing them to operate as VAT payers due to violations of established norms. However, for the time being this tendency has slowed down.
