On June 7, a ceremony of handing computer equipment purchased under the Azerbaijans customs service upgrade project State Customs Committee executes together with UNDP and European Commission, is held at SCC.
Trend reports referring to UNDPs release, the joint one-year project started in January 2006, financed by EC and UNDP.
The main goal of the E900k project is aid to SCC in upgrading customs legislation and its tailoring to meet world standards, in particular, the EUs Customs Code.
Computer equipment purchased for the customs offices include servers and computers ion total amount AZN 210k.
Common presentation of the project will be featured with participation of SCC chairman Aydin Aliyev, UN resident-coordinator and UNDP representative Marco Borsotti et al.
