President of Georgian nat'l bank to visit Baku

The President of the National Bank of Georgia, Roman Gosiridze, will participate in a conference of businessmen of the Black Sea region and international financial institutes Black Sea Business Day. The National Bank of Georgia told Trend special correspondent in Tbilisi that organized by the Black Sea Bank of Trade and Development (BBTD) the event will be in held in Baku from 12 to 13 June.

The conference will sit at sessions titled The role of financial sector in the economic development, Investments in rural economy and food industry; infrastructure development in the region.

The potential clients of the bank and entrepreneurs are also invited to participate in the forum to discuss the opportunities for establishment of the relationship with the bank.

The BBTD was founded by 11 members of the Black sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) organization (Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine) with respect to assist in multilateral economic cooperation in the region through project and trade crediting.

The bank started to operate in June 1999. The amount of the banks credit portfolio comprises over $700m.
