From the beginning of 2006, the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan registered about
1000 POS-terminals in accordance with the procedures of Cabinet of Ministers on defining criteria regarding installation of terminals in trade objects, Akif Musayev, the chief of the ministrys department of tax policy and strategic planning, informed, Trend reports.
According to Musayev, providing trade objects with POS terminals is conducted in accordance with the decree of Azeri president on upgrade of payment system of Azerbaijan.
Akif Musayev considers that first of all it needs to provide the employees of the budget organizations with plastic carts for receiving salaries. The banks should intensify their activities in this direction, told Musayev.
