The project IBTA-2 component covering automation of State Treasury of Azerbaijan within WBs credit may get prolonged by half a year. Trend reports with reference to Finance Ministry, such a measure is linked to incomplete payments for credits issues under operations for automation of regional offices.
Officials of Finance Ministry say these operations might be completed within half a year. In this connection, WB suggested prolonging the project by 6 months.
At total cost of IBTA-2 in 7.470mln SDR ($10.6mln), $5.1mln remained unused and later transferred to fight bird flu.
Д°BTA-2 project was approved in 2002. It covered only 4 components from earlier anticipated 10. Among executed are strengthening governmental control, control over financial institutions, social costs reforming and project management, institutional potential increase through upgrade of legislation in accounting and audit sphere.
