A conference of the Association of Azerbaijani Banks (AAB), originally scheduled for 20 June, has been postponed for a week, Chingiz Asadullayev, the Vice President of the AAB, told Trend.
The presidium of the AAB will report on its activities over the past 5 years, while the revision commission on financial- economic activities of the executive directorate of the Association. Then the new composition of the presidium and the revision commission, which is renewed in every 5 years, will be elected.
The forum will publicize the recommendations by the international organizations on changing the charter of the AAB in accordance with the experience of corporate management. It concerns more exact distribution of authorities among bodies of the Association, between the president and the Executive Director. The changes to the Charter will be made in 2007.
At present the AAB unites 47 members 44 banks, a non-bank credit organization Agrar-Kredit, the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange and Baku Office of Parex Bank.
