Delegation of State Land and Cartography Committee of Azerbaijan returned from visit to Turkey. The Committee officials told Trend the delegation, headed by Chairman Garib Mamedov, was invited to Istanbul by Military Printing Board.
The visit aimed at developing relationships in accordance with the agreement between Turkish and Azeri governments regarding education, scientific and technical cooperation
in cartography sphere. Within the visit, operations performed for modernization of governmental satellite networks and creation of topographic maps based on satellite geodesic technologies and so on.
In the course of the visit, exchange of experience in use of land resources and their governmental control was also discussed.
The Committee officials said Turkish peers will pay a back visit to Azerbaijan in the second half of June.
