A WB transport mission led by Olivie Le Ber, a special on road infrastructure, will visit Baku on 11 July, the Baku office of WB told Trend. The key objective of the visit is to carry out review of the implementation of the projects in the sphere of reconstruction of automobile roads. They are financed as one project.
The project envisages the expansion and alternation of the route of the Alat-Masally automobile route, as a result of which its length will be cut 230km to 200km, as well as the repair of the Baku-Shemakha-Mugan road, kinking Baku with the western regions of the country. A present the WB is also involved in the constriction of Ganja-Gazakh automobile route.
The WB took a resolution on allocation of $200m credit for their reconstruction. The funds needed for the projects can be allotted under the second credit. The WB mission will consider the issue on approval of the funds and other aspects of the road reconstruction.
