The Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan confirmed the project of construction of the 9th bridge for unloading the transport infrastructure of Baku, Ziya Mammadov, the transport minister, told, Trend reports. The company that will realize this project has been appointed, and in the near future, it will start the work, told Mammadov, not speaking about the company that became the winner of the competition.
The bridge will be located near the hotel Excelsior. According to the first project, it had to pass over the railway stretch, but according to the task of the president, the project was made changes. Besides, there are several objects, living houses, as well as internally displaced persons there. The special commission is engaged in their replacement, told minister.
Today, the ministry gives preference to the tunnels, but not bridges.
