Business Materials 24 July 2006 19:32 (UTC +04:00)

From yesterday, the problem emerging with shipment of cargos in Georgian port of Batumi was resolved and the loading of coaches has started, Trend reports quoting the Azerbaijan State Railways Department (ASRD).

At the moment, 2276 trains with oil and oil products stay in and near the port. 796 out of them have been filled with mazut and 688 with raw oil. Their dispatch was delayed due to the lack of vessels for mazut shipment and technical problems with the oil loading equipments.

At present, the situation has become more normal. Daily shipment has reached 770 trains. However, it will be increased up to 800.

In result of these problems, the Azerbaijani side has from July 19 stopped the oil reception transported through northern direction.
