Peter Thompson, director of energy and infrastructure for Europe and Central Asia with the World Bank, is starting his visit to Baku today, Trend reports with reference to WB Baku office.
At the moment he is meeting with officials at the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan. The primary objective of his visit is to discuss spheres of collaboration the bank is already involved in and new projects outlook.
During the discussions, the parties will cover cooperation in energy, transport, water supply and other spheres related to Azerbaijan oil-polluted lands cleaning.
The visit lasts till August 2. The guest also will meet with heads of other economy-related authorities, as well as Azeri Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh.
