The large capacity buses are intended to be used in Baku at the beginning of 2006. at the moment, the Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan is holding talks with the private passenger transporters who voiced their desires to bring and use these buses in Baku, Trend reports with reference to the same ministry.
It is intended that about 250 large capacity buses will be used in Baku in the first phase, which will substitute the micro-buses that are used at present. In opinion of the ministry representatives, this will allow resolving several problems in the transport infrastructure of the city, as well as raising the quality of the passenger service.
All these works will be carried out with the order of the Azerbaijani president On upgrade of transport system of Baku for 2006-2007.
