Over $300m spent out of state investments in first half-year of 2006 in Azerbaijan Azeri Finance Minister

In the first half of 2006 a total of 298.6m manats (over $300m) has been spent out of the public budget expenses, which exceed the last year figure 4 times, Trend reports citing Azerbaijani Finances Minister, Samir Sharifov, as stating to a meeting of the government.

Sharifov said that 104m manats has been spent on the construction of module power stations, 20m manats on the rehabilitation of amelioration infrastructure and water supply to regions, 51.4m manats on the construction of automobile roads of republican significance. Moreover, 84.1m manats was directed at the construction of infrastructure of state importance.

In his period 3.6m manats has been spent on the construction of living quarters for Karabakh war disabled and shehid (war victims) in 23 cities and regions of the country, 35.5m manat has been spent on the reconstruction and construction of social and cultural facilities.
