On August 1, the head of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (SCC) Aydin Aliyev met with the French ambassador to Azerbaijan Bernar dyu Shafo. During the meeting Aliyev spoke about the economical cooperation of the two countries, noting that there are real opportunities to expand the volume of the trade turnover between France and Azerbaijan, Trend reports quoting the press-service of SCC.
The head of SCC mentioned the positive impact of the investments put by the French companies into the oil sector of Azerbaijan and pointed out that the customs bodies take a great responsibility in this process.
During the meeting, Aliyev invited his French colleague to participate at the international conference dedicated to turnover of adulterated medicines, which will be held in Baku in February of next year.
In his turn, the French ambassador told that during his diplomatic activity, he will support the development of the bilateral relations of the countries.
Then, discussions were held on the issues reflecting the interest of both sides.
