KIPA Expects Conclusion of a Feasibility Study under Project on Upgrade Customs Activities

Bae Cheong Jun, Deputy Director of the Korean Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies, said in a meeting at the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan that the Agency on Assistance to Development of Industry of Korea (KIPA) has developed for the SCC of Azerbaijan a feasibility study of the project on upgrade the customs activities in the country.

Cheong said that the document has been developed in the period of from April to July of 2006 within the framework of the Azerbaijani-Korean cooperation in the customs sphere. He said that the Korean Ministry is interested in the implementation of this project, therefore took interests in the term of publication of the signing of the feasibility study by Azerbaijan.

The deputy chairman of the SCC, Asgar Abdullayev said that the Azerbaijani customs officials are interested in the study of experience and relevant knowledge of the Korean specialists in the sphere of application of information technologies. The document envisages many interesting proposals, while their resolution is expected after the study of the document.
