Subaru to debut refreshed Legacy/Outback for Europe

(autoinsidernews) - Subaru will debut a refreshed version of the Outback/Legacy at the Paris Motor Show later this month. Yesterday, Subaru gave us a sneak peak at the updated Outback. Since the new European Outback looks exactly like the Japanese-Spec model that we showed back in May, we expect the new Legacy to look exactly like the Japanese-Spec Legacy, reports Trend.

Like U.S. models, the Outback and Legacy will feature Subarus new SI-DRIVE (Subaru Intelligent Drive) system. SI-DRIVE modifies the electronic throttle response, and fuel and ignition curves leading to different performance characteristics. The driver can select between three driving modes: Intelligent, Sport and Sport Sharp. SI-DRIVE will be available in European Outback/Legacy models equipped with a 3.0L engine.

The other big news for Subaru in Paris is the European debut of the Subaru Tribeca crossover.

We expect that this refreshed Outback (and the Legacy) will make it to the States in 2007 for the 2008 model year.
